"Jacquette, a Sorority Girl" by Grace Ethelwyn Cody is a story about a young girl named Jacquette adjusting to a new high school and all that comes with it. When Jacquette leaves her comfortable life in Brookdale to live with her relatives in a busy western city, she enters a completely new world of friendships, rivalries, and sororities. Her cousin, Marquis, introduces her to the exciting social scene at Marston High, where the most important thing seems to be getting into the right sorority. Jacquette is determined to join Sigma Pi Epsilon, and she is on a path that is full of excitement and challenges as she tries to fit in and find her place in this new environment.
