Summary

"One for the Robot—Two for the Same" by Rog Phillips is a science fiction story that asks big questions about what it means to be human when minds can be moved into robots. The story follows January Stevens, a scientist with a troubled past, as he's hunted by the mysterious Dr. Moriss, who wants to learn January's secrets about transferring consciousness. Fueled by regret and resentment, January plans to ruin Dr. Moriss’s own attempt to achieve immortality by uploading his mind into a robot. As January battles his inner demons and gets closer to Dr. Moriss's daughter, Paula, the story races toward a showdown that forces everyone to think about hate, humanity, and the price of living forever.
