Summary

"The Call of the Wild" by Jack London is a tale set during the Klondike Gold Rush where readers are introduced to Buck, a dog of mixed breed living a comfy life and is then ripped away from all that he’s come to know when he is taken from his home in sunny California and thrust into the harsh Yukon wilderness. He is challenged by the cruel realities of the North and fights to survive the new, bitter conditions. The story kicks off Buck's journey as he is uprooted from his pampered life and sold into servitude as a sled dog, marking the beginning of his descent into the primitive world, testing his strength and resilience amidst the overwhelming call that pulls him to the wild.
