Summary

"The Sequel" by George A. Taylor is a story set during World War I, following Lieutenant Jefson, a pilot caught in the war after being shot down over the Argonne Forest in 1915. The novel explores Jefson's change from a member of a Peace Society to a soldier fighting in the conflict, showing his inner battles and changed beliefs about war and peace. As he recovers in a German hospital, he thinks about his past ideals and comes to believe in the need to protect civilization, even if it means fighting. The book looks at the tough choices people face during war, and how loyalty and duty can change what someone believes.
