"The Story of Evolution" by Joseph McCabe is a book about the progression of all things through time. It begins by setting up the idea that the universe itself has evolved, painting a picture of how our understanding of the cosmos transformed over centuries. The book walks though old ideas from early thinkers and then highlights major turning points with well-known scientists who changed how we see the universe. This builds a foundation to then explore how life on Earth began and changed within this grand, ever-changing cosmic scene. It’s a historical and scientific overview of everything.
