Summary

"The Follies of Love" by Jean-François Regnard, is a humorous play set in a country house exploring the chaotic nature of love and relationships. Arabella finds herself trapped by Albert's jealous desire to marry her, while she yearns for Worthy's love. Her increasing frustration with Albert's control leads to her erratic behavior. The introduction of Jenny, a clever maid, and Scratch, a cunning servant, adds layers of comedy and scheming as they try to free Arabella from Albert's grasp. The play uses deception and sharp wit to reveal the foolish extremes of possessive love, creating a whirlwind of comedic confusion in the characters' pursuit of romance and personal freedom.
