Summary

"The Doctor Looks at Biography: Psychological Studies of Life and Letters" by Joseph Collins is a book that examines the lives of famous people and characters from books using psychology from the early 1900s. It talks about what makes a good biography, saying that it should be more than just a timeline of events and should really show a person's thoughts, challenges, and successes. The book looks at biography as a way to learn about what it means to be human, connecting true stories with made-up ones, and claims that a great biography dives into a person's mind and spirit, giving readers important lessons about life by studying the experiences of others.
