Summary

"Mildred's Inheritance; Just Her Way; Ann's Own Way" by Annie F. Johnston is a set of three heartwarming tales for young readers, set in the early 1900s, that looks at the lives of young girls finding their places in the world. The first story introduces Mildred, who travels from England to America and learns to call it home with the help of new friends. In the second part, Judith struggles between adventure and her duties at home. Finally, there's young Ann who learns about making her own choices when she wants to wear her new party dress. These stories show the strength of friendship, the journey of discovering who you are, and the importance of accepting yourself for who you are when facing life changes.
