Countess Kate

"Countess Kate" by Charlotte M. Yonge is a story about Katharine Umfraville, a fun-loving girl who becomes a Countess when a relative passes away. She must learn how to be a proper Countess, which means acting how her fancy aunts want her to act, even though she misses her simple life with her family. At first, she's just a typical kid, playing with her cousin and fantasizing about being rich. Everything changes when she finds out she's inherited a title, making her excited but also a bit scared. To become a Countess, Kate has to leave her old life behind and live in London with her aunts. She is a sweet, imaginative girl who must figure out how to be herself while also being a Countess. She must figure out how to balance having fun with being responsible.
