Summary

"The Book of Courage" by John T. Faris is a motivational guide from the early 1900s that inspires readers to embrace bravery as a means to conquer challenges and foster individual development. A starting story tells of a teacher almost defeated by setbacks, but a small spark of hope from a recovering canary revitalizes her spirit, showing that resolve is key when things get tough. By using stories of both famous people and everyday heroes, the book shows the many ways courage appears, from mastering oneself to facing difficult times head-on while highlighting how having a strong character and never giving up can inspire readers to find their own courage and stay hopeful.
