Summary

"Blind Spot" by Bascom Jones, Jr. is a science fiction novella that takes place on Mars and dives into the relationships and social inequalities between Earthlings and Martians. The story is about Johnny Stark the director of interplanetary relations who has to work through the politics of his job and his personal life when he wants to get engaged to someone. He soon learns about the injustices caused by the current system as he begins to see an oppressive regime affecting both Martians and Earthlings. Stark, however, is forced to consider his own prejudices and face tough truths about the divide between himself and others. It blends personal goals and major social issues to make a serious statement about equality.
