Summary

"The Summons of the Lord of Hosts" by Bahá'u'lláh is a compilation of important religious scriptures created towards the close of the 1800s that acts as a main message of Bahá'u'lláh presenting his purpose to global leaders, encouraging that they approve his position as a divine messenger and further fairness and harmony among all people. This writing has deep soulful ideas, like how leadership has a divine side, and how vital it is to hold fair actions close. "The Summons of the Lord of Hosts" starts with info on the meaning of Bahá'u'lláh's messages through when he stayed in Adrianople and when he had to leave to 'Akká. It draws attention to the main bits of the work, such as the important Súriy-i-Haykal, in which royalty are summoned to answer what they have done in power. The writing makes way for Bahá'u'lláh's strong calls for people to see who he is and invites everyone to its core lessons in a chain of strong and descriptive warnings about grabbing peace, fairness, and unity of spirit.

About the Author

Baháʼu'lláh was an Iranian religious leader who founded the Baháʼí Faith. He was born to an aristocratic family in Iran and was exiled due to his adherence to the messianic Bábi Faith. In 1863, in Iraq, he first announced his claim to a revelation from God and spent the rest of his life in further imprisonment in the Ottoman Empire. His teachings revolved around the principles of unity and religious renewal, ranging from moral and spiritual progress to world governance.
