"Katherine's Sheaves" by Georgie Sheldon is a story about a young woman named Katherine Minturn starting at Hilton Seminary in what seems like the late 1800s. The story starts with Katherine showing up, a bit nervous but ready, and meeting Miss Reynolds, a kind teacher. She also meets her classmates, who have all sorts of opinions about her. As she settles in, Katherine finds herself at odds with the principal because he doesn't agree with her Christian Science faith. This creates conflict and makes Katherine grow as a person, exploring ideas like faith, being accepted, and staying true to what you believe when others don't agree.
