Dixie Hart

"Dixie Hart" by Will N. Harben is a story set in a rural town in the early 1900s that follows Dixie Hart, a strong young woman determined to keep her family's farm running. The novel presents us to themes of hardship, dreams, and love in a small town. The story kicks off with Alfred Henley, a storekeeper, thinking about his own life and marriage, and observing the hardworking and spirited Dixie Hart. Their talks show that Henley has feelings for Dixie, which is different from how he feels about his own marriage.
