Summary

"An Egyptian Princess — Complete" by Georg Ebers is a historical fiction story set around 528 B.C. that shows how Greeks, Egyptians, and Persians lived together. It mainly follows Rhodopis, an Egyptian princess, as she goes from being a normal person to someone important. The book starts with a picture of the Nile River flooding the land and then shows two Greek men, Phanes and Aristomachus, going to see Rhodopis. Their talk gives a peek into Rhodopis's past, like how she was taken by sailors but then became famous in Egypt. The story seems to be about mixing cultures and how power and who you are can change in a time of big historical events.
