Summary

"From out the Vasty Deep" by Marie Belloc Lowndes is a story set sometime in the early 1900's that revolves around Blanche Farrow and her maid, Pegler, as they confront the unnerving atmosphere of Wyndfell Hall, a place whispered to be haunted. As guests arrive for Christmas, mysterious and tense events play out amid suspected supernatural forces. Miss Farrow and Pegler discuss odd things happening in Wyndfell Hall with Pegler telling of a chilling event where she believes she saw a ghost and Miss Farrow tries to console her maid although she doesn't believe in ghosts.
