The Berserker

"The Berserker" by Charles V. De Vet is a science fiction adventure about Big Jim Ostby, who is sent to deal with a dangerous alien threat to Earth. Set in another world, the story combines adventure and mystery as Jim faces incredible dangers. After being captured and tortured by the police, Jim escapes by using his cleverness and strength. His mission is to close the dangerous “door” that the aliens have created between their world and Earth. Along the way, Jim meets interesting characters like the strong Duchess Rinda and the shady crime boss Siggen, who test his ability to trust others. As Jim fights to save his home world, he learns about who he really is and where he comes from, and that the fight is also about figuring out his own past and loyalties.
