Summary

"Louis Lambert" by Honoré de Balzac is a story from the early 1800s, telling the tale of Louis Lambert, who, since he was a kid, was super smart and thought a lot about big ideas such as what it means to be human, the soul and how it connects to the world. The book looks at how he grew up, the things that inspired him, and how hard it was for him in school, where people didn't really get his creative mind. From the very beginning, we see that Louis is no ordinary kid; he's incredibly smart and always wants to learn more. His family pushed him to study hard, and he got to learn from his uncle, who was a priest. As he gets older, Louis struggles with school because the rules are too strict, and he finds everyday life boring compared to his exciting thoughts. Through his experiences, we watch Louis start to develop his own ideas which would set him off to face life lessons.
