The new northland

"The New Northland" by L. P. Gratacap is an early 20th-century story set in the Arctic that follows Jack Riddles, a smart office boy in New York City, as he uncovers a possible criminal plot. Riddles, who is alert and persistent, is drawn into a world of danger after spotting a suspicious argument, sparking his mission to uncover the truth. Tracking the mysterious couple leads him to a glass star, a strange object that suggests a much bigger plot at play and sets him on a thrilling adventure to a secret, hidden land. The narrative expands as it hints at a major journey to Krocker Land, a place rumored about and thought to be full of undiscovered things, enhancing the story’s themes of finding new lands and exploring the unknown.
