Divided Skates

"Divided Skates" by Evelyn Raymond is a story about how an unexpected friendship can bloom between people from different worlds. It all starts with a roller skating accident involving Molly Johns, a cheerful young girl, and Miss Lucy Armacost, a refined but lonely woman. This initial meeting changes both of their lives. Molly's lively spirit starts to melt Miss Lucy's isolated heart, making her question her choices and consider a life filled with more kindness and connection. As their bond grows, the stage is set for Miss Lucy to evolve from a solitary figure into someone eager to embrace a warmer and more caring existence, especially since a threatening winter storm is approaching, placing both of them in danger.
