Summary

"A Witch Shall Be Born" by Robert E. Howard is a thrilling fantasy tale set in the ancient land of Khauran, exploring themes of identity, witchcraft, and the lust for power. Queen Taramis' peaceful reign is shattered by the unexpected return of her twin sister, Salome, a wicked sorceress thought to be dead. Salome, marked by a crimson crescent, uses dark magic and manipulation to seize the throne, turning the kingdom upside down with chaos and terror and even managing to ensnare the ambitious mercenary Constantius in her plot. Taramis, framed for witchcraft and dethroned, is forced to fight to reclaim her identity and her kingdom, ultimately leading to a confrontation between good and evil, where loyalty will be tested and dark ambitions will be challenged.
