"The Honorable Miss Moonlight" by Onoto Watanna is a captivating story set in early 20th-century Japan, where duty clashes with desire. Lord Saito Gonji, a nobleman, faces immense pressure to marry Ohano, a woman chosen by his family, but his heart yearns for Moonlight, the enchanting geisha known as the "Spider." As Gonji prepares to celebrate his arranged marriage, he finds himself torn between his obligations and his growing attraction to Moonlight, whose rising star in the geisha world contrasts with his own noble lineage.
