Summary

"Patience Wins: War in the Works" by George Manville Fenn is a tale of grit set against England's industrial backdrop, where sixteen-year-old Jacob and his family dive headfirst into a steelworking venture after relocating from London to Arrowfield. Their ambition to breathe new life into the business is quickly met with hostility from the local laborers, resistant to change and fiercely protective of their traditions, which sparks a battle of wills which challenges Jacob and his uncles to utilize every ounce of perseverance to overcome the friction and make their steel works a shining success.
