Summary

"The Futile Flight of John Arthur Benn" by Richard Wilson is a science fiction story focusing on John Arthur Benn's trips through history, from the 1920s to prehistoric times, using time travel, however, his whimsical adventure descends into realizing the absurdity of trying to escape reality when he must face dangerous encounters, such as being chased by a wild boar, after experiencing the disorienting effects of time travel and unable to escape his own reality finds himself back in 1956, leading to a tragic ironic self-conclusion.
