"It" by Hayden Howard is a science fiction tale set in the 1950s, telling of Earthlings who come face to face with a strange and evil power while examining a lonely alien city. A captain and his team find more than they bargained for when visiting a crumbling metropolis on a far-off planet. A strange being takes control of the captain, turning him against his own crew, as they explore. As the alien influence brings conflict and violence, the captain fights to reclaim his body and save his friends from the terrifying presence. The story focuses on themes of fear and free will, building to a frightening fight that tests the characters' humanity as they fight for survival and try to get back to Earth.
