"Frank Reade, Jr., and His Electric Ice Ship; or, Driven Adrift in the Frozen Sky" by Luis Senarens is an action-packed story focusing on the adventures of young inventor Frank Reade, Jr., who faces daunting challenges in the icy Arctic. After witnessing the kidnapping of Walter Grey by a scheming lawyer and some tough sailors from Boston, Frank is moved to rescue the boy by his mother's sadness. Making use of his inventions, particularly his amazing flying ice ship, Frank journeys through dangerous, frozen landscapes and faces off against the villainous whaler Red Eric. Throughout his adventure, Frank is joined by his friends Barney O'Shea, who is Irish, and Pomp, who provide fun and playful interactions amidst the high-stakes rescue mission.
