Summary

"Worlds Within Worlds: The Story of Nuclear Energy, Volume 3 (of 3)" by Isaac Asimov is a science book that wraps up a three-part series by looking closely at nuclear energy, especially fission, fusion, and what might come next in energy production. It explains how splitting atoms, called nuclear fission, turned into both a way to make electricity and the technology behind atomic bombs, focusing on the important experiments and scientists involved. The story then shifts to nuclear fusion, the energy source of the sun, and the difficulties scientists face in trying to recreate this process on Earth; plus, the book considers even more advanced energy ideas, such as using antimatter, making a strong case for why understanding nuclear energy is so important for today’s world.
