Summary

"Young Stowaways in Space" by Richard M. Elam is a science fiction tale about two orphaned boys named Garry and Patch who dream of space exploration. Their ordinary lives take an extraordinary turn when they secretly travel from their orphanage to a spaceport, hoping to view the launch of the "Orion" spaceship unaware that they would soon become stowaways aboard this spacecraft. Their intentions are pure, driven by a desire to witness and be a part of space travel. However, their dreams unexpectedly materialize into reality when a mishap with an elevator leads them to launch into the stars. As they speed towards the Von Braun Space Station, they're overwhelmed with wonder and concern.
