Summary

"Spaceman's Luck" by George O. Smith is a science fiction story from the 1950s about space travel and getting rich. An astronaut named Gordon Holt goes to the Moon, not for adventure or honor, but to make money. He plans to profit from his trip, but when he crashes on the Moon, things get complicated. Even though he's smart and ready, the world gets worried about him, and everyone wants to bring him home. It explores what it means to be clever, what fame really is, and how people act when there's a problem, all while Holt deals with what's happening to him and what could happen because of the choices he made.
