Breakaway

"Breakaway" by Stanley Gimble explores the tough choices between following your dreams and what it costs your family. It tells the story of Phil Conover, a space pilot ready for a big trip to the Moon. But, his wife, Mary, is really scared and says she can't handle being married to someone who goes into space. She wants to leave him if he takes the mission. Phil is super excited about going, but Mary is super sad and worried. They have a big moment when Phil doesn't end up going because someone else steps in. The story ends with Phil and Mary still dealing with their problems, showing how hard it can be when someone wants to do something really amazing but it hurts the people they love.
