Summary

"Devereux — Volume 03" by Baron Edward Bulwer Lytton Lytton is a story set during the 1800s that follows Morton Devereux as he deals with the tricky decisions about love, doing what's right, and family issues, all while trying to meet society's standards. The novel jumps right into a ton of drama, with Morton recovering from an injury and secretly marrying Isora to protect her reputation. But things get complicated when his uncle dies and leaves the family fortune to his brother Gerald through a suspicious will. As Morton grapples with revealing his marriage, he can't shake the feeling about the will. The beginning of the novel is filled with philosophical thoughts about fate, likening life to flies caught in a spider web, and focuses on a blend of deep romance and family conflict that shapes his life.
