Summary

"My Novel" — Volume 03 by Baron Edward Bulwer Lytton is a story set in the 1800s that follows Pisistratus Caxton, an author who is trying to come up with the right title for his book while dealing with his family and what society expects of him; he is also trying to figure out who he is. As he works on his book called "My Novel", he feels pressured to come up with a title. In another story that is a part of the novel, a character named Leonard Fairfield is unfairly punished for sticking up for what is proper and right after an argument with Randal Leslie who is related to a squire. The themes explore what is the right thing to do, having big goals, what people believe about him and what is fair versus what isn't, all of which are showcased in a lively countryside setting.
