Zula

"Zula" by H. Esselstyn Lindley is a story fixed on a young girl named Zula, and her harsh journey, beginning with her capture after stealing spoons and the grim consequence of her family relations. Facing a tempest of cruelty and misfortune, Zula's life is shaped both by the compassion of characters, like June Wilmer, and the harshness of relatives, setting the stage for a battle towards independence and a better life beyond the bounds of her impoverishment and troubled upbringing.
