"Captured by the Arabs" by James H. Foster is an early 20th-century adventure where two American youths, Joe Lewis and Bob Holton, travel with their fathers and an archaeologist to the Sahara Desert for an expedition to discover lost riches. As excitement grows aboard a steamer headed to North Africa, the young men's anticipation is dampened by the presence of two suspicious Arabs seemingly tailing them. The journey into the desert promises to be perilous, not only due to the harsh environment, but also because of rival treasure seekers and potential deception, placing the explorers in danger as they pursue their dreams of uncovering hidden treasures.
