The Crooked House

"The Crooked House" by Brandon Fleming is a novel full of mystery and darkness that focuses on a crime inside the strange home of George Copplestone. As John Tranter and Monsieur DuPont try to solve a riddle, they go through social events and secrets. The story starts when John Tranter meets Monsieur Dupont, who is trying to solve a riddle. Tranter takes Dupont to a party at the quirky Copplestone house. During the evening, the audience find out that Copplestone is eccentric, and the crowd learn about the relationships between the guests. Christine Manderson's engagement to Copplestone creates tension, and then Christine is shockingly murdered which creates more problems. The opening creates mystery that suggest the reader is about to read a story of secrets and lies, that will keep the reader guessing.
