Leslie Ross; or, Fond of a Lark

"Leslie Ross; or, Fond of a Lark" by Charles Bruce is a tale set in the late 1800s that follows the adventures of a lively boy named Leslie Ross, whose love for pranks often lands him in predicaments. Leslie, raised by loving parents who encourage his happiness by the sea, has a habit of getting into mischief that escalates into dangerous situations; one day his antics nearly result in a drowning, which leads his father to believe that sending him away to school is the only choice to temper his impulsiveness while still allowing him to grow.
