Summary

"The Floater" by Bryce Walton is a science fiction story about Harry Barton, a Watchman living alone in a space station. He’s there to watch space. Dr. Von Ulrich comes to check on Harry because being alone for so long can mess with your mind. Harry is doing better than anyone expected, though, and it is revealed he has adapted to a life of solitude. He doesn't act like other people would in his situation. The story shows how much a person can change when they’re all by themselves for a long time. It makes you think about what it means to be human and how far people can bend before they break.
