In the Musgrave Ranges

"In the Musgrave Ranges" by Conrad H. Sayce is an early 20th-century young adult adventure that follows Saxon Stobart and his friend Rodger Vaughan as they journey into the heart of Central Australia seeking thrills. Their adventure begins in Hergott Springs, where the raw and challenging landscape of the outback is immediately apparent through a violent tornado. Disasters force them to change their plans, leading them to accept an invitation from a bushman named Peter to travel by camel trek to Oodnadatta. As they navigate this new and rugged world, the two young men begin experiencing its unique way of life while facing wild animals, interactions with Aboriginal people, and the possibility of danger to Sax's father, a famous cattleman known as Boss Stobart who ventured out into the Musgrave Ranges.
