Winner Take All

"Winner Take All" by Larry Evans is a story written in the early 1900's that focuses on the journey of Blue Jeans as he faces hardship and the loss of his hopes. With ambition and his ability to recover as central ideas, the story establishes a mood of difficulty as deals with bad times. Riding into the poor town of Reservoir on his tired horse after some unsuccessful attempts to get employment and a poker game where he lost all his money, Blue Jeans is discouraged.
