Summary

"Honey-Bee" by Anatole France is an early 20th-century children's fantasy that explores love, adventure, and growing up, focusing on Honey-Bee and George, two inseparable friends in an enchanted world. The story begins with the tale of the Countess of Blanchelande, who predicts her own death, and her wish for her son to be raised with Honey-Bee, the daughter of the Duchess of Clarides. Their innocent childhood, filled with chivalry and magic, sets the stage for adventures involving dwarfs, nixies, and powerful connections that will ultimately decide their fate, drawing the children into challenges as they grow.
