Summary

"Quisanté" by Anthony Hope is a story about a young man named Alexander Quisanté, who is trying to climb the social ladder in the late 1800s. He's ambitious and willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead, including marrying for status rather than love. The story shows his complicated relationship with his aunt. They need each other, but don't really like each other. Alexander faces prejudice because he's seen as an outsider, and his journey is full of drama as he tries to achieve his goals, while also dealing with social expectations and the desires of others that add complications to his plans.
