Asteroid Justice

"Asteroid Justice" by V. E. Thiessen is a science fiction story set in the asteroid belt during the mid-20th century. The story centers around Sam Knox, a man-hunter, who is on a mission to find Pell, an inventor who may or may not be guilty of the crimes he has been accused of. The story unfolds on an asteroid mining community where trust is difficult to come by as Sam untangles a network of lies and the fight for justice, where finding the truth might come at a deadly price. Sam must overcome dangerous terrain, and work to gain the trust of the asteroid mining community where Pell is hiding. Sam soon realizes that a jealous rival has created a scheme that has trapped Pell in this situation, but as Sam gets closer to bringing Pell back to Terra, he starts to question Pell's guilt and decides to fight for the truth.
