Summary

"Four Ghost Stories" by Mrs. Molesworth is a compilation of spooky narratives that explores unsettling encounters with the spectral world. The book opens with a narrator hearing a first-hand account from Lady Farquhar, who tells of her experience with a ghost. Lady Farquhar's story centers on appearances of an elderly woman's ghost in a seaside Irish home, clad in old-fashioned dress. These encounters leave her intrigued and somewhat disturbed, eventually prompting her to find out the background of who lived there before. The book captures the characters' fascination with the mysteries of ghosts and the supernatural.
