Summary

"Serbia in Light and Darkness" by Nikolaj Velimirović is a book chronicling the Serbian nation's history, revealing their trials and tribulations alongside their enduring spirit. It sets the stage by expressing gratitude to England for its backing of Serbia during a time of global conflict and emphasizes the shared values of justice and democracy between the two countries. The book then introduces the major themes of suffering, strength, and resilience, which form the crux of Serbian identity. By weaving together anecdotes with historical context, Velimirović prepares readers for a tour through Serbian values and legends. The story shows how the Serbs relentlessly pursued freedom even when oppressive forces threatened to crush their way of life.
