Summary

"Little Orphan Annie, and Billy Miller's Circus-Show" by James Whitcomb Riley is a delightful compilation of children's poetry from the 1800s that includes two stories: One about Little Orphan Annie, a storyteller who shares lessons and spooky tales with kids, and another about Billy Miller, a young boy who creates his own exciting circus. Orphan Annie's poems teach kids about doing what's right and give spooky warnings of what happens when they're bad. Billy's playful circus adventures show off his imagination as he puts on amazing shows and pretends to be different circus stars. Both capture a child's view of the world and give lessons about life in a fun and relatable way, which makes this a heartwarming book for both children and adults.
