Summary

"Find the Woman" by Arthur Somers Roche is a story set in the early 1900s about Clancy Deane, who says goodbye to her simple life in Maine for the bright lights of Broadway in New York City. Clancy is hopeful and ready to achieve her goals as a performer, but her journey takes a turn when she is caught up in a web of murder and lies. Leaving her old life behind, Clancy arrives in New York City eager to start her new journey after receiving an inheritance. She quickly meets new people, with one, Fay Marston turning out to be an aquaintance whose introduction leads Clancy to a dinner party that ends with a shocking murder. Clancy's innocence faces big challenges when she meets the dark side of the city, putting her future at risk.
