Summary

** "Karma: A Re-incarnation Play" by Algernon Blackwood and V. A. Pearn is a play that begins with Phillip Lattin, a British agent, and his wife, Mrs. Lattin. Mrs. Lattin suffers from a strange sickness and spiritual unrest, fearing their return to Egypt, a place of haunting nightmares, but Phillip intends to remain by her side, taking leave from his job, while his Mrs. Lattin yearns for understanding and forgiveness. This sets the scene for a story of reincarnation, with the plot's themes weaving together love, sacrifice, and spiritual links across lifetimes. The play is structured with a prologue, an epilogue, and three acts and it is set in the early 20th century. **

About the Author

Algernon Henry Blackwood, CBE was an English broadcasting narrator, journalist, novelist and short story writer, and among the most prolific ghost story writers in the history of the genre. The literary critic S. T. Joshi stated, "His work is more consistently meritorious than any weird writer's except Dunsany's" and that his short story collection Incredible Adventures (1914) "may be the premier weird collection of this or any other century".
