Summary

"The Rainbow Book: Tales of Fun & Fancy" by M. H. Spielmann is a compilation of early 20th-century fantasy stories for children overflowing with playful journeys to inventive lands where kids meet fairies, wizards, and strange beings. Opening with twins Cyril and Dulcie, stuck inside on a rainy day, the collection quickly spirals into adventure as they find a secret path to a red door and a quirky Wizard. He gifts them magical bracelets that can turn them into animals or birds, promising exciting times ahead, but with a subtle caution about possible risks. The stories are mostly happy and fun, and celebrate the magic of make-believe, while also hinting that with great power comes great fun that is not without possible pitfalls.
