Summary

"Lost in the Forest: Wandering Will's Adventures in South America" by R.M. Ballantyne is an exciting, older novel about a young doctor named Will Osten whose adventure begins when a mutiny erupts on his ship, the "Rover," during a Pacific cruise. Will finds himself lost in the wild forests of South America with his companions after the ship's second mate, Griffin, leads a mutiny against Captain Dall; the captain is cast adrift, and Will escapes the mutineers. The story follows their dangerous journey as they struggle to survive against not only the harsh landscape, but also the complicated relationships within their crew and other threats they encounter along the way.
