Summary

"The Captain of the Wight: A Romance of Carisbrooke Castle in 1488" by Frank Cowper is a historical story set in 1488 that follows Ralph de Lisle, a young boy on the cusp of knighthood. As Ralph turns fifteen, he dreams of valor and adventure, embodied by the gerfalcon he receives as a birthday gift. These experiences shape his path as he begins a journey full of courage and honor during times of trouble.
